Get a wallet.
A wallet is a free app that holds your funds and lets you approve things. Install one, create an account, and write down your recovery phrase — twelve words — on paper. It is the only way back into your wallet: never share it with anyone.

- Coinbase WalletPhone app or browser extension

Send your address.
In your wallet, copy your address — it starts with 0x — and send it to the person setting up the payout. Your share is paid to that exact address, so copy it rather than typing it.
- 03
Approve your share.
Open the link you were sent and connect your wallet. You see the whole payout: the total and every party's share. If your amount is right, approve it and confirm in your wallet — it costs nothing.
If something is wrong, don't approve: ask the person who set up the payout to cancel it and create a new one. Some payouts don't ask for approvals — in that case, skip this step.
- 04
Get paid.
When every party has approved, the payer pays once. Every share goes out in that same transaction, so you are paid at the same moment as everyone else.
Want an email when it happens? Verify your email in your profile in the app.
- 05
Keep your record.
Once the payout is paid, download the payment record from the payout page: the payout, each share, when it landed, and a reference anyone can check on the blockchain.
- 06
Convert it, if you want.
Payments arrive in ETH. Keep them, or send them to an exchange or app you already use and convert them to your currency there.
Questions
Is approving my share really free?
Yes. Approving is a signature, not a transaction: nothing is sent to the network, so there is no fee to pay.
What if my amount is wrong?
Do not approve it. A payout cannot be edited once it has been created — the person who set it up cancels it and creates a new one with the right amounts.
When do I get paid?
As soon as the payer pays, once every required approval is in. Your share arrives in the same transaction as everyone else’s.
Can I use a wallet I already have?
Yes, any Ethereum wallet works. Just send the address of the account you want to be paid to.
What if I lose access to my wallet?
Your recovery phrase is the only way back in. Nobody else can restore it — not the person who created the payout, not the app. Keep it offline, somewhere safe.
Who do I ask if I am stuck?
The person who set up the payout. They can see its status and help you through each step.
